About
Blooms for a Cause is a shared community initiative that brings together the Norfolk Haldimand Community Hospice and Six Nations Community Hospice with one common goal: to support compassionate, local end-of-life care for individuals and families in both communities.
Rooted in collaboration and community spirit, this annual campaign invites residents, businesses, and supporters to take part in something simple yet meaningful—celebrating the arrival of spring through the purchase of beautiful hanging baskets. Each bloom represents more than just the season; it’s a symbol of care, connection, and the power of coming together to make a difference.
By supporting Blooms for a Cause, you are directly helping both hospices continue to provide essential programs and services, including palliative care, grief support, and family resources—at no cost to those who need them most. Every order strengthens the shared commitment to dignity, comfort, and compassion across Norfolk, Haldimand, and Six Nations.
This initiative is more than a fundraiser—it’s a reflection of what can be achieved when communities unite in support of one another. Together, we are growing something truly meaningful.

We are continually working to Carry the Light of:
Honour – Your life and the lives of your loved one’s matter. With reverence and respect we will honor each human being as they are and we will ensure the lives of those we support continue to be remembered.
Hope – In the moments of uncertainty and the times of feeling “There is nothing more to be done”, hospice provides Hope. Hope that those we love will live with dignity and as full as possible till their last breath. Hope that when it comes their time to leave this world, they will die a good death. Hope in the knowing that even in life’s darkest of moments, there is still a spark of promise for better days ahead.
Healing – Through compassion and integrity, hospice offers care for the heart and mind to find healing from time of diagnosis and/or throughout the journey of bereavement.
